This is our first trip to Miami's famous South Beach. It's Art Deco style really makes this a unique and interesting place. Cuban culture and influences in music and food abound. This is our hotel the Blue Monkey. It is 2 blocks off the beach on Collins around 10th street. Actually this was a near perfect location, pretty much the center of action. The beach here is top optional. The music and food were fantastic, we are looking forward to going back someday. |

These picture show our room and the outside of the hotel. We had our first "cubano" sandwich at Lario's, which is owned by Gloria Estefan. Here are some of the typical art deco building, they really look cool lite up at night. |
