St. Croix U.S.V.I.

July 5 - 15, 2005

After all the excitement of the wedding Dottie and I really needed some down time ... "in da islands mon". This year's trip was to St. Croix of the US Virgin Islands. Sort of one of the forgotten islands in the Caribbean. I guess I didn't have high expectations of the island because it is not one of the more popular destinations. That can be a good thing... it's easier to be pleased. St. Croix turned out to be a easy, pleasing, and a friendly host for our vacation.
St. Croix is a very history rich island that was once where "Sugar was KING". Many of the ruins of the sugar plantation are still visible and a few of the Dutch buildings including a fort and scale house are still located in Christiansted.
Again Dottie and I and Rick and Ann did a pretty good job "adventuring" across the entire island. We covered it, North, South, East, and West and now we would like to show it to you in pictures ... of course!
