Summer Vacation 2004, Chapter 2, St. Martin |
Well the St. Martin adventure begins… at 5 a.m. with a stretch limo ride to BWI. As BIG as the limo was our rental car was small. It was even a challenge for Rick (Mr. Bungee) to get all of our luggage in Mickey's of Tropical Car Rental's best vehicle, a kermit the frog GREEN 2 door RAV 4. We talked about leaving the women behind at the airport and coming back for them … but they were too smart for us and didn't go for the idea. |

As you can see the RAV 4 made it from Princess Julianna Airport on the Dutch side to Green Cay Villas Orient Bay on the French Side ... the tow truck had just left ... only kidding. It wasn't a bad ride for the guys of course the girls would say it was the ride from HELL. Their uncomfortable ride was soon forgotten (like childbirth) once they saw the villa. Here are some shots of the outside, inside and pool area. Also shown is the breakfasts of fresh French bread and croissants, which were brought in by the maid, everyday. She even made coffee ... very very very strong coffee. The pool boy kept the girls entertained every other day. |

Here are our views to the northeast and the southeast. Very faint on the horizon (in the above picture) you can see St. Barts. From Orient Bay you can see Pinel Island, Green Cay and St. Barts. The last shot is the beach at Orient Bay. There are 37 beaches in St. Martin and we wanted to do a different one each day ... the problem for us was that Orient is very well known as being one of the best beaches in the Caribbean. |
